i've tried all kinds of things to reduce the file-size. for anyone else experiencing this issue I just ran into a solution (maybe temporary solution). create a second, random powerbody in the same part file, and then save the solidworks file. the file size should be instantly reduced (in my case from 285MB to 10MB). after this, delete the second, random power-body and then save the solidworks file again.
